ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs on the reconstruction in Iraq. The U.S. Office of the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction (SIGIR) found that the Provincial Reconstruction Team is making incremental progress in developing Iraq's capacity to effectively govern and manage reconstruction. The most significant source of U.S. funds for Iraq has become the Iraq Security Forces Fund. A two-year effort to develop and implement the Iraq financial management information system has been halted.
