ABSTRACT
The article reports on the murder of Border Patrol agent Luis Aguilar that foregrounds the increasing border violence in the U.S. It is averred that a drug smuggler driving Humvee caused him to come down when he attempted to put spike stripes in the road to block the vehicle. It is also inferred that another peace officer was shot of alike encounter with illegal alien after Aguilar's murder.
