ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the efforts to reduce the overcrowding problems at the Summit County Jail in Ohio. The new approach to jail overcrowding was viewed as a partnership among the players in the system, including judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys. The scope of the project does not require additional financial or human resources. The project was headed by Marie VanNostrand who accomplished the project into two-fold.
