ABSTRACT
The article reports that the president of Hudson City Bancorp, Ronald E. Hermance Jr., said that refinancing activity has increased as interest rates have declined. Plans to increase online deposits have also been delayed. Hermance also indicated that falling interest rates are bringing in customers from other banks.
