ABSTRACT
The article presents organization updates for members of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). The author notes the success of the 2007 Teen Read Week initiative and discusses elements of the 2008 Teen Tech Week national initiative which focuses on teaching teenagers to become competent and responsible users of technology. Plans to increase YALSA membership through recruitment and retainment efforts along with organizational benefits of the 2007 membership dues increase are also presented.
