ABSTRACT
The article reports that online shopping is expected to reach almost £6bn in December 2007 in Great Britain. According to payments association Apacs, there is an increase of almost 56% from December 2006. To help promote safer online shopping, Apacs has launched a website for consumers. The Apacs Paying Safely Online guide outlines the various safety steps online shoppers should take before they buy something over the Internet. Sandra Quinn, director of communications at Apacs, said, more and more people are buying Christmas presents online.
