ABSTRACT
The article reports on behavior within the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). In 2002 U.S. and Pakistani authorities captured a suspected al Qaeda terrorist, Abu Zubaydah, who was shot three times during an attempted escape. As his medical condition worsened he was taped day and night to assure the CIA proof that he was being taken care of. The tapes showed interrogation methods such as waterboarding, a simulation of drowning, and subsequently were destroyed in 2005.
