ABSTRACT
The article offers information about the 2007 Environmental Design and Research Association (EDRA)/Places Awards in 2007 in the U.S. It gives recognition to distinguished works belonging to three categories including Place Design, Place Planning and Place Research. Place Designs are completed projects that establish excellence as human environment, Place Planning are projects that make proposals for the future design, use or management of a place while Place Research are projects that investigate the relationship between design and human behavior, culture and experience. The awards are considered unique among programs because it gives recognition to professional and scholarly excellence in environmental design.
