The article focuses on "Lunes de Revolución," the literary supplement of "Revolución," the official newspaper of the July 26 movement, the revolutionary organization planned and led by Fidel Castro which enabled Castro to gain control of Cuba. Information is presented on the role of Carlos Franqui, one of Castro's advisors and the editor of the newspaper, in the literary magazine. Some special "Lunes" issues featured Cuban writers like Emilio Ballags and Pablo de la Torriente Brau. It relates the magazine's position on the close relationship between weapons and literature.
