Curriculum Development in Manitoba: Process, Problems, and Solutions

The article discusses the development of art curriculum in Manitoba, Canada by committees made up of teachers and art educators. It focuses on the process of the development of the curriculum, the problems that are encountered and the solutions to remedy those problems. The author cites that the examination of the curriculum development process has made the committee approach effective. A lot of recommendations have been given to address the problems that were identified in curriculum development. There are key factors given to have a viable committee system, some of which are group dynamics, cohesion and role definition.
