ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to restart the dormant Iraq debate in the House with a proposal based on legislation that has already passed in the U.S. Pelosi stated that the proposal would restrict war funding to pay for embassy protection, fighting terrorists, and limited training of Iraqi forces. However, 90 House members have signed a letter stating that they will not support any Iraq spending bill that does not call for a fully funded withdrawal.
