ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the views of Amory B. Lovins, chief scientist in Rocky Mountain Institute, on the power sources in India. According him, a more reasonable approach for the country is to modernize the balance 97% of power sources than focus on the mere 3% energy that nuclear power will provide. Moreover, he states that it will be cheaper and faster and will not raise the issues of dependency and proliferation.
