ABSTRACT
The article reports that a new Airbus A380 superjumbo will be added to the British Airways (BA) fleet after the airline announced a multi-billion pound investment. BA has ordered 12 Airbus A380 and 24 Boeing 787 aircraft with Rolls-Royce engines and lower carbon dioxide emissions. Chief executive Willie Walsh said that the aircraft set a gold standard when it comes to environmental performance in the key areas of CO2 emissions, local air quality and noise.
