The article reports that Popular Inc., a financial holding company of Banco Popular, released its unaudited operational results for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 (1Q 07) in Puerto Rico. The company accounted its net income for 1Q 07 of $118.6 million. Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter ended 1Q 07 were $0.41. Furthermore, the company's net income for the 1Q 07 represented a return on assets (ROA) of 1.02% and a return on equity (ROE) of 12.91%.
