ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the so-called personal carbon allowances, an initiative that aims to reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment. This annual emissions limit is expected to encourage people to be careful with their energy use. If a person wants to exceed his allowance, he would have to buy some unused allowance off someone. The author is working with York Carbon Rationing Action Group to develop the concept.
