The Art Curriculum: Sins of Omission

The author reflects on the status of art curriculum in educational firms and areas that needs more attention. He discusses major problems in the art curriculum such as the lack of substance, the absence of artists and ignorance of curriculum concerns. He also discusses some evaluation objectives in the art curriculum which are neglected such as evaluating a student's input and the quality of the school art experience. He suggests that art educators should be responsible in recognizing what is neglected in the art curriculum to improve it in the long run.
