ABSTRACT
The article reports that U.S. troop leader General David Petraeus met with Iraq's Sunni Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi in Fallujah, Iraq in the Anbar Province in support of improved relations between the U.S. and the religious group. This improved relationship has made Iraq's Shiite leaders apprehensive, but U.S. leaders are trying to convince them that improved Sunnis relations will decrease the chance of Sunni insurgency.
