EDF Trading acquires coal terminal

The article reports that EDF Trading has acquired a coal terminal business located in the Port of Amsterdam, Netherlands. EDF Trading purchases more than 30 million tonnes of coal annually from South Africa, Colombia, Indonesia, Australia, Russia and the U.S. According to the company, the phasing out of domestic coal production in the northwest European market is being replaced with imported coal.
