ABSTRACT
The article reports on legal developments relating to the regulation of product characteristics in the field of marketing in the U.S. The author includes information about an investigation of the company Idea Research & Development initiated by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The National Dynamics Corporation is discussed in relation to deceptive advertising practices. Guidelines issued by the FTC with regards to the packaging, labeling, and sale of consumer goods such as automobiles and jewelry are also mentioned.
