ABSTRACT
The article reports that the House has approved legislation that would reform the United States Committee on Foreign Investments. Should President George W. Bush sign the bill, it would increase the role of the national intelligence director as well as allow a 30-day review of transactions that are covered by the foreign investments committee, so as to consider their effects on national security.
