The article discusses the pros and cons of entering into an office preletting agreement from the point of view of the occupier and its benefits to developers in Great Britain. It notes that lease lengths must balance the needs of the tenant for flexibility with the needs of the developer for a lease long enough to give a sufficient investment value. It cites the influence of market conditions or the location of the development on the prelet agreement.
