ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the implemented policies to prevent firearm trafficking in the U.S. These policies were constituted to enhance accountability in the marketing of firearms from licit market to illicit market to reduce international trafficking, as well as to prevent violent injury and death. Among these policies include the improvisation of licensing and oversight of dealers, screening of all firearm purchasers, mandatory reporting of gun thefts and banning of high-risk firearms.
