ABSTRACT
The article reports on the unstable business conditions of the aerospace and defense industry in the U.S. It claims that the business cycle has advanced activities for the leveraged finance markets which have observed more acquisitions and buyouts. As a remedy to the cyclical business trend, some companies have positioned themselves with the Department of Homeland Security which has an estimated $60 billion budget for national defense.
