American Spectator;May2007, Vol. 40 Issue 4, p12
The article reports that former U.S. vice-president Al Gore has adopted a version of the "South Beach Diet" and hired a personal trainer to lose weight. Gore's former staffers report Gore thought he looked fat when he appeared at the 2007 Academy Awards. The former staffers speculate that Gore might still investigate entering the 2008 U.S. presidential election in the fall of 2007 if there are no frontrunners among the Democratic candidates.
