ABSTRACT
The author discusses several methods of treating sexual dysfunction. The author says that sexual dysfunction can not be treated in isolation and that the individual must be seen as a whole within his or her relationships. Some behavioral therapies are the sensate focus or pleasuring technique and squeeze method developed by W.H. Masters and V.E. Johnson and the stop-star technique described by Kaplan. Some adjuncts to treatment are reading material that provides information on sexuality, the use of mechanical aids, such as vibrators, and the use of hormonal treatments.
