ABSTRACT
The article provides an answer to a reader's question about filing taxes for 2006. Several strategies are provided by tax professional Bob Lind of Camelwest Tax Services. The Telephone Excise Tax Credit is mentioned, in which taxpayers can claim a credit for overpaid telephone excise taxes. Deductions for sales taxes, teachers' classroom supplies, and college tuition are mentioned. A Residential Energy Credit is discussed, as is the Alternative Minimum Tax.
