ABSTRACT
The article discusses the banding together of native Alaskan tribes and corporations to sway U.S. policy-makers to take action to curb global warming. Lawyers are arguing to enforce emission standards on carbon dioxide. Topics examined include the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Alaska Inter-Tribal Council, subsistence activities, U.S. Supreme Court, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and the relocation of Shishmaref, Alaska residents.
