ABSTRACT
The article deals with the approaches used by advertisers in managing affiliate marketing. Companies are implementing any number of permutations in an effort to find the right affiliate marketing strategy for them. According to Chris King, head of affiliates at BT, affiliates and affiliate networks is a virtual sale force. There are a number of changes forcing affiliate networks to vary the roles they play in managing affiliate programs. Generally, the trend is for the affiliate networks to work with the digital agencies and accept that what clients want is the best advice. INSET: Thomas Cook sticks with networks.
