ABSTRACT
The article provides an opportunity for U.S. teachers to share activities that promote tolerance. For grades seven through nine, July Schallhorn of Ada, Oklahoma provides a school counselor's method, which involves a readers' theater group. With the intent of catching bullying behavior early and explaining it to elementary school students, the junior high school readers' theater performs a short play, holds discussions with the younger students, and requests a pledge to not bully others.
