The article discusses the screening of the motion picture Longtime Companion at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, as part of its Science on Screen series. The film was one of the first that provided a sympathetic look at people living with and dying from AIDS. To compliment the screening, they brought in three speakers to talk about the early days of the epidemic. The screening was planned to mark the 25th anniversary of AIDS
