ABSTRACT
This article reports on a new approach developed by former U.S. Surgeons General David Satcher and Jocelyn Elders which addresses the current sexual health crisis in the country. The approach promotes sexual literacy, which will establish a safer, healthier, consensual sexual relationships. Panelists at the Call to Action to Promote Sexual Health and Responsible Sexual Behavior meeting asserts that the abstinence-only push of the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush is harmful to American's overall sexual health.
