ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Dr. S. Allen Counter who was welcomed by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden at the Church of Sweden in New York City. Counter is director of the Harvard Foundation and professor of neuroscience at Harvard University. He is also the first Black Consul General of Sweden in Boston, Massachusetts.
