ABSTRACT
The article deals with the results of the publications 1999 editorial salary survey. While editors of consumer magazines have almost always been paid more than their trade counterparts, the gap narrowed in 1999, based on the survey. The average raise for business-to-business editors in four positions was 7.5 percent. The salary increase differences were less pronounced for managing editors and senior editors.
