ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the increase in the sales tax receipts of the city of East Bernard in Texas in September 2006 according to figures released by the Texas Comptroller's Office. The counties that have failed to gain an increase include Eagle Lake and Austin County. The increase is considered an indicator of retail activity.
