It allows customers pick from about 50 of the latest blockbusters. Stop & Shop parent Ahold signed a deal in January 2006 to put Redbox kiosks in most of its 580 Stop & Shop and Giant stores across the northeastern United States. The boxes have been installed in McDonald's restaurants and in supermarkets nationwide since 2003.
