ABSTRACT
The article presents information on situations where dental implant therapy may be superior to conventional restorative treatment. Patients with complete mandibular tooth loss may benefit by having their lower denture stabilized by implants. Another indication involves patients who present with a small number of missing teeth. The third indication involves potential abutment teeth. The last indication is the treatment of the edentulous posterior areas of the mouth.
