The article reports on the effort of the Hertfordshire County Council in generating a substantial use of felled trees brought about by small-scale woodland thinning operation at the Berrygrove Woods in England. As part of England's woodland management plan, it has been generally practiced to leave felled trees to rot in eco-piles within the woodland. However, the council's environment department has sought an opportunity in converting small diameter timbers for the Rights of Way Unit products.
