ABSTRACT
The article presents information on several Web search engines and compares their unique options with the Google search engine. A9.com is a multi-tasking search engine company that can provide the same results as Google Inc. produces. But unlike Google, its search engine has a search bar with various boxes that will help to limit the search to a specific area. In case of Google, the thousands of results will be thrown at the searcher. The article reflects that people often confuse Google's speed with intelligence but the fact is that it is not yet a thinking robot. It has a limited capacity to connect two unrelated terms while searching. But the Star Trek computer can collate and connect various unrelated topics. Vivisimo Inc. is another company that pioneers clustering. It means grouping of search results into folders of various sub-topics based on similarity.
