Guidance reduces unnecessary skin disease referrals

The article cites a research study conducted by the researchers of Great Britain regarding the guidelines developed by dermatologists for the management of psoriasis in primary care. The study was presented at the British Association of Dermatologists' conference in Manchester. It was found by the researchers in this study that health centers which used the guidelines made twice as many appropriate referrals as those not using them.
