ABSTRACT
The article reports that salvage therapy is the last hope for HIV patients, whose drug regimens no longer work, in the U.S. Some physicians are trying to gain access to experimental medications while others put their patient back to previous drugs. Physician Steven Deeks stated that most patients have already developed high-level resistance when protease inhibitors were introduced.
