ABSTRACT
The article reports developments in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM). The Gulf is in a period of rapid growth and change, stimulated by high commodity prices and demand for oil and gas worldwide. The entry of Signal International, a new player in the industry, further adds to the stability of the Gulf's location and incentive for new ventures. On the other hand, a survey indicated that the eastern GoM has a high potential for hydrocarbon accumulation both in the deep and shallow water parts of offshore West Florida.
