ABSTRACT
The article discusses issues related to the approval by the U.S. House of Representatives of a legislation for the federal government to fund embryonic stem cell research. The good that comes from embryonic stem cell research has been thoroughly overhyped. It has yet to provide a single cure for those suffering from Parkinson's disease and a whole host of other afflictions. Scientists are devising new techniques to extract embryonic stem cells without destroying the embryos themselves.
