ABSTRACT
The article presents information about content management system (CSM), Joomla. It is a CMS for creating and maintaining web sites. Such a CMS means that, when the site is created, anyone with the right permissions can update the site without resorting to HTML coding. Being reliable, scalable and extensible, Joomla has become one of the shining examples of why open source applications can more than match it with commercial applications. To build a community site to act as a meeting point for people interested in a particular topic, it is necessary to have regular news, articles, forums and frequently asked questions for new users. This list also includes event notices, club information pages, image galleries and classifieds. With a community site there should be an incentive for users to register and participate along with a clear communication channel between members and administrators. This series will give the user an insight into building and maintaining a successful community site.
