ABSTRACT
The article presents news brief related to Rugby League football player of Parramatta Eels, Tim Smith. Smith, who was crowned as best young player in the game nine months ago, is now struggling. The 21-year-old has been savaged by the critics, booed by the fans and even briefly rested during a match against Brisbane Broncos. Smith has spoken openly about the confidence crisis gripping both him and Eels as the club teeters on the brink of finals oblivion. Smith was twice pinched for forward passes on key plays and struggled to find the mark with his usually strong kicking game in the match between Parramatta Eels and Canberra Raiders.
