The author calls on the United States government to educate adult immigrants about educational opportunities and other progressive undertakings for their children. The experiences of the author as a six-year-old German who immigrated to the United States in 1910 together with her family are described. Adult immigrants must be encouraged to send their children to elementary and high schools. Some recommended programs for immigrants are volunteer system for adult education, race assimilation programs and community education programs for immigrants.
