ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of European operator Vodafone Group PLC to sell its operations in Japan. Verizon Communications Inc. offered to purchase the stake of the operator in Verizon Wireless for $40 billion. According to Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin, the company has no plans to sell its stake. The 45 percent stake of Vodafone in Verizon is worth over $20 billion.
