ABSTRACT
The article reports on the bullish swing in the stock market. The Dow Industrials closed above the March high of 10,940,55, reconfirming the bullish primary trend in the market under the Dow Theory. Capitalization-weighted indexes like the Standard&Poor 500 and Wilshire 5000 have also attained four-and-one-half-year highs. Further, such equal-weighted measures as the Value Line Arithmetic Average and NYSE advance-decline line have reached all-time highs, as have small-stock indexes like the Russell 2000, Standard&Poor SmallCap 600, and Standard&Poor Midcap 400. Near-term trading is likely to be dominated by news regarding corporate earnings and inflation.
