ABSTRACT
This article discusses the basic principles of genetics as conceptualized by scientist Gregor Mendel. Mendel is a famous scientist that concluded that hereditary factors usually come in two packages containing genes. In this regard, the author developed several scientific principles which are the Principle of Segregation, Law of Dominance and the Principle of Independent Assortment.
