ABSTRACT
This section highlights several of the papers that were presented at the 2005 American Society for Reproductive Medicine Scientific Session. A study conducted by the Huntington Reproductive Center in Pasadena, California, found that, when preimplantation genetic diagnosis was performed on 289 embryos generated from the donor oocytes of healthy women under age 30, chromosomal aneuploidy was found in 42%. A study by New York Presbyterian Hospital researchers found that fibroids do not affect in vitro fertilization outcomes, unless the fibroids are large and very close to the endometrial cavity.
