ABSTRACT
The article presents a list of miscellaneous statistics related to recent events in the news. An estimated 3 million Pakistanis were left homeless by the earthquake that occurred on October 8, 2005. Also included are statistics related to the financial aid following the disaster, Exxon Mobil Corp.'s earnings last quarter, Tamiflu prescriptions in the United States and the number of hunters awarded permits for Maryland's bear hunting season.
